Isn’t it amazing that we who are born again are actually called to start getting involved in our heavenly Father’s business? We usually think that there are some who are called to serve Him while others are supposed to carry on as usual with the great consolation of God blessing all their endeavours, now that they are born again. Are we really serious in considering the fact that our life is no longer our own and that our agenda for life now is to learn and do our Father’s business? In any business, there is a review, in regular intervals, about the progress of the work and whether we are succeeding or failing in getting the job done. This is not only the desire of the father but the desire of the son too, to find out whether he is gaining enough practice to handle the business more fully as the days go by. What a contrast to our spiritual lives where are just hoping that God will somehow get things done and fail to even understand that God wants to train us to do His work and gain enough expertise to do His will more effectively for His glory.
